VIRTUAL RESOLUTION NAMED BUSINESS OF THE MONTH BY BUSINESS FOR CALDERDALE

We’re delighted to have been named Business of the Month by Business for Calderdale.

Matthew Taylor and Christopher Lomax from Virtual Resolution picked up the award on Tuesday, May 15th, during Business for Calderdale’s monthly networking event at the Craggs Country Business Park.

A not-for-profit organisation, Business for Calderdale provides opportunities for businesses within the Calderdale area.

The Business of the Month award recognises the outstanding achievements of organisations throughout Calderdale. Criteria considered are business initiative, significant growth in business or orders (including exports), business development and expansion in Calderdale, the UK or overseas, and creation of jobs (including apprenticeships). The winning company must also typify the spirit and creativity of business enterprise, innovation and corporate social responsibility in Calderdale.

The award is judged by a committee comprising local business people and chaired by Nick Worsnop, a partner at Chadwick Lawrence solicitors. It is also supported by the Halifax Courier, with companies selected from coverage in the publication’s business section.

Tim Power, VR’s managing director, said: “The award from Business for Calderdale is special for us because it provides recognition from our local business community. Working with businesses in our area is really important to us because we’re all helping to support the local economy, and put Calderdale on the map as a hub of creativity and innovation”.

Based in Elland, Virtual Resolution is one of the leading companies of its kind in the UK, offering a range of services in photorealistic 3D visualisation, CGI, walkthrough animation, virtual reality tours, verified imagery, and rendering.

Its expert team of architecturally- and graphically-trained artists undertakes projects both at home and abroad, working with major organisations across the world in sectors including construction, retail, hospitality, leisure, education and local authorities.

VR also works with smaller businesses as well as those closer to home in the Calderdale area, meeting an increasing demand for verified imagery, virtual tours and other 360 photographic and video services. Last year, for example, it completed a virtual tour for Bertie’s wedding and events venue in Elland, showcasing their stunning rooms and facilities in an engaging and creative way.

Tim added: “Our expertise in virtual tours is being increasingly sought after by local companies particularly in the property and hospitality industries, which recognise the value that they bring in promoting their venues, services and facilities.

“Our creative team is continually following the latest VR trends and developments to ensure we remain a leader in our industry, and we’re always delighted to apply our expertise to our work with local businesses”.
